MEET THE PT
about the clinic
1 of 1 Performance & Rehab was established in 2026 with a clear purpose: to provide high-quality, individualized physical therapy built around people of the Southwest Missouri community.
After more than a decade practicing outpatient orthopedic physical therapy in the Springfield area, I saw the opportunity to give our local community another option for quality physical rehabilitation—one centered on one-on-one care, thoughtful clinical reasoning, and truly personalized programming.
Too often, physical therapy can feel rushed or generalized. 1 of 1 Performance was created to offer something more.
My goal is to provide:
Dedicated, one-on-one treatment sessions
Care that prioritizes long-term results over short-term relief
Programs designed around real-life demands in our community
A performance mindset for patients of all backgrounds
Springfield, Republic, and the surrounding areas are filled with athletes, hardworking professionals, active families, and individuals who value staying strong and independent. Whether someone is returning to sport, keeping up with physically demanding work, staying active outdoors, or simply wanting to move without pain, their goals deserve individualized attention.
about me.
My name is Scott Brueckner, and as the founder of 1 of 1 Performance & Rehab, I’m grateful and excited for the opportunity to work with this community—helping individuals return to what they love, reach their goals, and experience the value of prioritizing their physical health.
Originally from Cape Girardeau, Missouri, my journey into physical therapy began in 2005 at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, where I also had the opportunity to play two years of collegiate baseball. I later returned home to complete my bachelor’s degree in Health Management and Exercise Science at Southeast Missouri State University. From there, I attended Missouri State University, earning my Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2013.
For more than 12 years, I’ve practiced outpatient orthopedic physical therapy in Springfield, Missouri, gaining extensive experience treating individuals from all walks of life and across a wide range of injuries and movement limitations. Throughout that time, my passion for helping people overcome pain, restore function, and regain confidence in their bodies has only continued to grow.
I’ve combined years of hands-on clinical experience with ongoing education and advanced training to offer a variety of effective, individualized treatment options. My goal is simple: to meet you where you are, understand what matters most to you, and help you get back to doing the things you love—stronger, healthier, and more confident than before.

for fun.
Outside of the clinic, I love spending as much time outdoors as possible. Whether it’s fishing, floating, running, golfing, building things, or coaching sports. I’m always happiest when I’m moving and outside. My amazing wife, Jenny, and I have been together for over 19 years, and we’re raising three pretty awesome kids who keep us busy (and entertained) every single day.
We love traveling as a family and exploring new places across the country, always chasing the next adventure. During the warmer months—when baseball doesn’t have us tied up—you’ll most likely find us on the river. We’re also a household of diehard sports fans and take every opportunity we can to catch a game in person.
